Paola Navone

After her degree (1973), she worked as an art director at CentroKappa taking care of image planning and developing, promotional tools, selling points, special initiatives. The collaboration with Alessandro Mendini dates back to this period, for the magazine “MODO”. In the 80s she worked with Alchimia, Sottsass, Branzi, Guerriero, Knoll International. From 1982 to 1984 she designed objects for Alessi, she became Abet Laminati advisor, she took part in Guido Jannon research about the innovation theme together with the Régie Renault marketing group. She taught at the School of Architecture of Reggio Calabria and Florence. The years from 1985 to 1988 marked a turning point in her creative approach: she became image and product construction advisor in the Philippines, Indonesia, Malesia, and Thailand for UNIDO and BANCA MONDIALE. This activity originated exhibitions, conferences and consultancies. From 1995 to 1999 participated to the control over exhibitions and installations for Driade, she drew the line Otto for Gervasoni, Andaman beds, Cicladi, Ebridi for Orizzonti, the collections Lune %26 Grass for Arcade, ethnic furniture for Oltrefrontiera, complementary furniture for Casamilano, she designed the jewelry boutique for Piero Milano. Also during these years, she started the partnership with Pitti Immagine Casa where she took care of the ideation and realisation of the setting up of fairs and expositions. From 2000 to nowadays, to her clients have been added Antonangeli, Dada, Molteni, Natuzzi, Roche Bobois and Swarovski. Architect, designer, interior designer, events manager, passionate creator of hard surfaces, Paola Navone likes describing herself as curious and cosmopolitan. The creation of the collection Peace Hotel owes its existence to the collaboration with Falper, presented as the first preview at Cersaie 2006.
