Paola Navone

After graduating in 1973, Paola Navone began her career as Art Director at CentroKappa, where she was responsible for design, image development, promotional tools, retail spaces, and special initiatives. During this period, she collaborated with Alessandro Mendini on the magazine MODO. In the 1980s, she worked with Alchimia, Ettore Sottsass, Andrea Branzi, Michele De Lucchi, Alessandro Guerriero, and Knoll International. From 1982 to 1984, she designed objects for Alessi, became a consultant for Abet Laminati, and took part in Guido Jannon’s research on innovation with the marketing team of Régie Renault. She also lectured at the Faculties of Architecture in Reggio Calabria and Florence. Between 1985 and 1988, her creative approach evolved significantly: she became a consultant for image and product development in the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand, working on behalf of UNIDO and the World Bank. This experience led to exhibitions, conferences, and long-term collaborations. From 1995 to 1999, she curated exhibitions and installations for Driade, designed the Otto collection for Gervasoni, the Andaman, Cicladi, and Ebridi beds for Orizzonti, the Lune & Grass collections for Arcade, ethnic furniture for Oltrefrontiera, and pieces for Casamilano. She also designed Piero Milano’s jewelry boutique. During these years, she began her enduring collaboration with Pitti Immagine Casa, overseeing the design and staging of trade fairs and exhibitions. From 2000 onward, her clients have included Antonangeli, Dada, Molteni, Natuzzi, Roche Bobois, and Swarovski. An architect, designer, interior decorator, event creator, and passionate surface designer, Paola Navone defines herself as curious and cosmopolitan.
Her collaboration with Falper led to the creation of the Peace Hotel Collection, first presented at Cersaie 2006.
