Falper nominated for the EDIDA 2024 award by Elle Decor Italia
Nomination of the MA collection designed by Foster+Partners as Best Bathroom Product 2024 by Elle Decor Italia.
Once again, the EDIDA Elle Decoration International Design Awards returns for its twenty-second edition, selecting the finest talents and projects of 2023. Elle Decor Italia has nominated the MA project, designed for Falper by Foster + Partners, in the Bathroom category. The winners will be selected by all 25 editions of Elle Decoration magazine worldwide. The awards ceremony will take place in Milan during Design Week in April.
A project that merges design and architecture, minimalist lines and Japanese inspiration. An essential and sophisticated system, composed of two elements in perfect balance: the marble washbasin, integrated into the solid wood storage unit, and the slender stainless steel water delivery stem. A component that serves, when needed, as support for a mirror, an accessory tray, or for hanging towels. A flexible structure with innovative and refined design that adapts to different living spaces.
The wall-mounted units are distinguished by their minimalist design and space-optimising capability. Suspended on walls, they create a visual floating effect, bringing a sense of lightness and modernity to the environment.
During the project’s development, one of the main challenges faced by the team was finding a balance between functionality and aesthetics. Furthermore, Foster + Partners and Falper placed great emphasis on environmental sustainability, using recyclable materials and energy-efficient solutions to ensure minimal environmental impact.
