MA – The new bathroom collection by Foster + Partners
With MA, a unique collection is born that, while drawing on artisanal craftsmanship with cabinetmaking details, expresses a soul of innovative design.

The new bathroom furniture line, designed by Foster + Partners, has been named MA, which draws inspiration from Japanese culture and the concept of “space-in-between”, an appellation that emphasises the harmonious balance between existing objects and the space between them, in every art form.
The London team led by Mike Holland, Senior Partner and Head of Industrial Design at Foster + Partners, together with Luca Fallavena, CEO of Falper, presented the prototypes of the new collection in a world premiere during Milano Design Week 2023. This represents an important milestone achieved together.
The primary elements of the new MA line—washbasins, storage units, taps, mirrors—interconnected by slender stainless steel stems for water delivery, distil the sophisticated essence of a bathroom that finds the right balance between the refinement of details and the essentiality of volumes in this collection. The delivery stems, apparently delicate but extremely functional, are a system adaptable to multiple functions, as support for an illuminated mirror or for hanging clothes and towels.

The solid wood drawers draw on artisanal craftsmanship with cabinetmaking details, expressing a soul of innovative design. The drawers refer to a practical idea of organisation, whose internal space can be arranged according to personal preferences. The drawers can be mounted on the front or sides and the internal configuration can be planned and customised to measure. The washbasins in marble or Cristalplant® Bio Active express sophisticated essentiality in their form.
