Falper nominated for the 2024 EDIDA Award by Elle Decor Italia
The MA collection designed by Foster+Partners has been nominated as the best bathroom product of 2024 by Elle Decor Italia.
The EDIDA Elle Decoration International Design Awards, now in its twenty-second year, will select the best talents and projects of 2023. Elle Decor Italia has nominated the MA project, designed for Falper by Foster + Partners, in the Bathroom category. The winners will be selected by all 25 editions of Elle Decoration magazine worldwide. The awards ceremony will take place in Milan during the next Design Week in April.
A project that blends design and architecture, minimalist lines and Japanese inspiration. A simple and sophisticated system composed of two harmoniously balanced elements: the marble sink, integrated into the solid wood cabinet, and the slender stainless steel water spout. This component serves, when needed, as a support for a mirror, a tray, or a towel rack. A flexible structure, with an innovative and refined design, that adapts to different living spaces.
Wall-mounted furniture stands out for its minimalist design and space-saving functionality. Suspended on the wall, it creates a visual floating effect, lending a sense of lightness and modernity to the space.
During the project’s development, one of the team’s main challenges was finding a balance between functionality and aesthetics. Furthermore, Foster + Partners and Falper placed great emphasis on environmental sustainability, using recyclable materials and energy-efficient solutions to ensure minimal environmental impact.
